if history repeats itself at an exponential rate it is a good possibility. seeing as the league of nations was basically the ground work for the un.

No, the United Nations is a lame body that is useful only as an international forum to discuss issues, but nothing ever gets done. The United Nations requires consensus to get anything done, which is virtually impossible.

The only kind of world policy organization we're even close to establishing is maybe some kind of global currency, and even that won't happen until we get more regional currencies. It's not the sort of thing any of us, our children, and probably even our grand children will ever have to worry about.

the idea of some sort of world rules in place makes a lot of sense, but each nation needs to have political and social autonomy...i guess what i'm saying is that all nations need to have basic rules and laws agreeable to others, but be insulated from being trampled by others....It would take a Thomas Jefferson with the brains of Einstein to come up with it....Sadly, it will probably come about without any sort of utopic Constitution and just be the big countries ganging up on the little ones.......the world just isn't ready for it....world treaties based on economic (or physical) retaliation is probably the only way...which makes it about the same as it's always been.....Too bad any real world government that is actually fair will not happen in hundreds of years...it's probably going to take some sort of catastrophe

I can see the world getting a Global Government, but the United Nations won't be it. It would probably be more dictatorial than that (forced on us).

NWO must be stoped!!!
For the New World Order, a world government is just the beginning. Once in place they can engage their plan to exterminate 80% of the world's population, while enabling the "elites" to live forever with the aid of advanced technology. For the first time, crusading filmmaker ALEX JONES reveals their secret plan for humanity's extermination: Operation ENDGAME.

It's inevitable that that is the main goal. I just hope the world it's not ruled by a dictator or corporations. Hopefully the global government will be peaceful and respects individual liberty.

Not in a very near future but the possibility does exist. But there is always fighting for power, resources, beliefs, cultures that it would be pretty hard to get every nation to cooperate under one rule.

Not for another century, and the UN wouldn't be the basis of it; that is an impotent organization merely existing to enrich politicians from other countries.

No, not unless other countries like the US being the top contributor of funds to the UN. As long as that goes on, it won't happen.
