when it says "Burn audio CDs with integrated Roxio CD Creator and make movies with muvee autoProducer."
does that mean it can write CDRW & CDR.

I'm planning to use this for a personal recording studio so i need it to be able to write CDs and DVDs saw i can distribute music and Mixtapes/ Music Videos and Tours can it do that for me by putting music on CDs and videos on DVDs.

It would work, but I don't recommend it. It would be a little anemic for your use.

Also, consider that you will leave your system on for long periods of time in order for the laptop to process. Your laptop will be generating a lot of heat during this process. The more heat it generates combined with the amount of time exposed to the heat will cause the laptop to run less efficient. Thus, reducing the quality of the video and audio.

I would suggest that you look into a desktop for a comparative amount of money. The new Intel Core 2 Duo chips are more efficient than the current AMD dual core offerings. Make sure that your hard drive runs at least 7200 rpm, if not faster. (If they can RAID two hard drives together, that is even better.) Try to max out the memory. Have at least 1gb if you are working with an XP OS, or 2GB if you are working with the Vista OS. (I prefer XP, as it is less of a resource hog and it works more efficiently with some older programs.)
