Not even a team led by a mentally retarded 6 year old who had never heard of baseball would make that trade.

You got to be kidding! Crede and Contreras won't get you any teams #1 pitcher never mind Santana. You better up the ante if you want a pitcher the caliber of Santana especially if the Red Sox and the Yankees get into a bidding war for him.

Crede has a very bad back and Contreras is 37-38 and never had but 1 decent year. Their trade value is NILL right now. There is no way Santana gets traded for anyone other than 3 solid young players.

just like my fellow red sox fan said.. it ain't happening. the only two possible teams that the twins would consider trading santana to is the red sox and hte yanks.

red sox have amazing young talent: Jacoby Ellsbury, CLay Buchholtz, Jon Lester, Jed Lowrie..

I highly doubt they are willing to part with Jacoby because he seems like the younger and better version of Grady Sizemore. Jon Lester has been through way too much to be traded after winning a WS with the Sox. Do you really want to trade a rookie who pitched a no-hitter already? Jed Lowrie is a possibility but he is our future gold glove 3B. I personally would package up Lowrie, Coco, and another young pitcher but not Bucholtz or Lester.

The horrible Yanks could package up Melky or Damon, Joba, Phil Hughes, or Ian Kennedy.

I hope we end up with Santana and not the Yanks. I can almost guarantee he won't be in a Twins uni next year.

Either way, the sox are winning back to back championships :)

The Twins don't want the White Sox' trash. Sorry...
Now if you meant Santana to Red Sox for Ellsbury and Buchholz than yeah thats possible. i dont know if the Red Sox would give up Ellsbury though. I would like to see them send Lester, Buchholz and two average prospects to the Twins for Santana. With a Rotation that has 1. Santana, 2. Beckett, 3. Matsuzaka 4. Schilling 5. Wakefield, The sox will have 162 wins next year (maybe that was a little exaggerated...).

Two reasons why Santana won't be in a White Sox uniform in 2008:

Reason #1) Ken Williams (GM) is an idiot and won't even recommend it.

Reason #2) Red Sox will overpay him to keep him from going to New York.
