I want to open up a salon where I do makeup, chose clothes for people's bodies, do hair, etc. Am I allowed to open up a salon without professional experience and just my own personal experience?

You need a cosmotology licence for that state you practice in.
Its very easy to get. And once you get it, all ur employess don't need to go get it, just the owner,

It would pretty much depend on the rules for your state or city. A lot of places have ordinances in effect that you can't open without a license, and you can't get the license without the needed education in the subject. Putting chemicals on propels heads is not something to be done by someone with no training.

No you have to have a license. I'm currently going to beauty school right now and in order to open your own salon you need to go to beauty school and then go to state board to take a test to get your license.

You need to be licensed by the state for some of the activities you are planning to do, like do hair. As far as makeup and choosing clothes, you don't have to be licensed for those.

First you would need enough money to start it up: to get the premises to set it up & decorate suitably to get the stock to hire the staff to hire an accountant and set up business accouts etc etc and still have plenty of funds left to get you through the early stages of the business You really need to know & understand the legal aspects of the business - safety, insurance for accidents, rights & reponsibilties of management & staff etc etc. Also it would definitely be best if you know the business - you should have solid training in the beauty business.
