Our capacity for love is literally infinite. The positive psychologists are reminding us that, for a variety of reasons, we seem to have lost touch with our capacity for love along with ever increasing levels of happiness. Take a look at the absolutely fascinating work of Tal Ben-Shahar, a wonderful young professor at Harvard who is bringing a new level of energy to this field. Anyone who has ever embraced full on suffering at the behest of love knows this is true. Many times our children are our best teachers in this context but anyone can be. If you still have doubts explore Schopenhauer's The Foundation of Morality. What could possibly cause one person to sacrifice their life for another in some kind of spontaneous "if you go, I go" act of kindness? The only thing limiting our 'depth' of love is our capacity to see this simple truth about ourselves.

Only GOD truly knows and feels the answer to that question, for he has the deepest love of all. With humans, I'm not sure we can ever know what the depth of love is, we can feel it, and know it in a way because we've had it for so long for something (ie-a person, thing, being) but i don't think we can ever truly know, we're too involved with what we're feeling to pay attention to a question like "what is the depth" but we just feel it, because of all the things we can feel, physically or mentally, it is the truest, most fulfilling feeling we can ever feel in our lives...LOVE.is.BEAUTIFUL.

God is Love: so says the bible... these books in it and verses
1 John 4:16
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8Love never fails.
How many people you know loves like this?
Do any of us truly know Love... Love like this?
