i missed 5 days in a row of school(totals my absences to 10) and i dont really know why. after i missed the 2nd or 3rd day of school in a row i felt that if i went back my teachers would be upset with me cuz i already missed a lot of days and we havent even finished our first semester. i didnt want to face all the teachers cuz i would feel guilty of my absences and my language arts teacher gives me a lot of hw while my other teachers are lovely. i feel like i will be so behind if i go back now and my friends make me feel embarressed when they ask me if i am going to drop out. everyone is going to be pestering me about my absences including my classmates, teachers , and principal. i cant face this but i have to go back cuz im not in high school yet. NEED ADVICE!!!

Go back now./ The longer that you wait the more behind you will be.

It's not too late. Go back to school at your first opportunity, and try to get back into the swing of things. Don't delay even one more day.

You will probably have to make up the things that you missed, but just do your best and don't stress over it. Try to get your teachers to allow you to make up the work over a period of time, since it is not realistic to think that you will make up a whole week of work in one day.

Don't worry about what you friends are saying, just try to be true to yourself. Try to talk with someone in the school administration to get your teachers to coordinate their requirements, so they don't all ask you to do everything at once. No one wants you to drop out, and they are likely to want to help you get back on track.

You are right people will bug you about being absent so much, but I 've learned that we as people have a tendency of making a situation Much more fearful than what it really is. eg.. I fear the dentist and had to get a root canal, yes is was uncomfortable but not nearly as bad as I had made it in my mind. Fear come from the mind, go back to school and deal with the consequences. The longer you wait the worst it will get to you and in reality.

Go back and ask the teachers for help in learning what you missed. You may be very surprised to find a positive reaction to a student who wants to learn.

Just go back, and you can make something up about the absences, but it doesn't matter what they think.
It will blow over in probably a week.

dont worry about it, just go back to school and face it. They will say stuff but its only going to last for a bit then everyone will forget about it. Just go back to school, school is important(i know it sounds corny but its true)
