I need a summary of the book (beginning, middle, end) for a book report. I didn't read it.
The internet have plot summaries but contains no spoilers. I need to know what happened. Especially at the end.
Anything would help.

In the novel, a new form of endogenous retrovirus has emerged, SHEVA. It controls human evolution by rapidly evolving the next generation while in the womb, leading to speciation.
The novel follows several characters as the 'plague' is discovered as well as the panicked reaction of the public and the US government to the disease. For the end you will just have to read the book or improvise....

Oddly I read it not that long ago, The theory put forth was that there is a switch in everyones genes that is keyed to FLIP on at some predetermind point, they find evidence of this in past archeological ( frozen) sites, and then one HAPPENS again.. this time its not the furry face going away it is emotions playing ON new borns faces ( and it seems to effect the parents to a small degree also) basically it ends up with the "new people" being shunned and on the run and treated as diseased by the government, this is not enough for a report, and its just the first of a series so it had no REAL ending. Great book though, go speed read it.
