I'm not afraid of being alone. I'd rather be alone. I am alone. But if I'm completely alone that would be scary, I think. If there's no one else in the world and it's just me then I will be afraid. Because I'm alone.

I personally am not afraid of being alone but I think the people that are are uncomfortable with themselves. Everyone needs to work on being okay with being alone. Not saying that you have to BE ALONE, just that you need to be comfortable with the idea of it.

F.or many of us being alone ( physically) means being with our thoughts and the runaway mind. Those of us , who have not been able to rein in their thoughts, this can be a nightmare. Memory recall of pain brings forth fear. Wayward thoughts haunt us.
The seking of company is just an escapism. Your mind is otherwise distracted . yes. For many this is the problem. But there is a way to get over this.
Try to be alone in an environment that is serene, peaceful and majestic. These glorious nature keep our mind glued to them and keep the harmful and fearful thoughts away. Sowlyand certainly we can work towards being happy with ourselves when alone.
We will realise that we are our worst enemy BUT we can be our best friend too.

No one is afraid of being alone, especially in the dark. What we are afraid of is that we are not alone.

Not only am I not afraid; I prefer it.
Unless there are shadows on the window and strange voices outside, (or worse, inside) and the phone keeps ringing but no one will talk and all the cats have run in the bedroom and hidden under the covers.

If I were, it would be in terms of lack of socio-economic support.
Nb "Alone" = "all One."
You might enjoy reading "The Journey of the Soul," Ibn Tufayl, a mystic work considered the model for Defoe's "Robinson Crusoe."
Also, "Expecting Adam," Beck
"Climb the Highest Mountain," Prophet
"The Master of Lucid Dreams," Kharitidi
"Mary Baker Eddy: Christian Healer," von Fettweis
"Men in White Apparel," Colton.

i'm not generally speaking, but people left alone have no other viewpoints to validate themselves, as we developed from groups to tribes being left alone was a sign of doing something very wrong, in today's world it should mean your the only good person

One can be alone in a crowd. I like being by myself.
Quite often i deliberately arrange it that way.
If one abides within, what is there to be afraid of?
