Outside of religious terms the majority of my faith is directed to God. I see religion as a lie about God.

Outside of religious terms, 'faith' is called confidence... I have confidence in the opposite of faith; reason, logic, evidence, proof, etc.

Humanity.
Its easy to put your faith in loved ones or something else you already have and usually never lets you down. Thats why god gave us a vail that keeps us from seeing him. True faith is blind. Like many people I've ben let down, burned, hurt, and violated by other people but becoming bitter (or a hermit) is not an option for me. I have to keep faith that not all people are bad and it takes a lot to have faith in something you've rarely seen.

I put my faith in humanity because we are the dominante Lifeform on this, our only planet. I really believe we are in an age where we will get our heads in the right places and focus on sustainable growth, expansion into space and the enhancement of human potential. We are better than our recurrent mistakes.
