Before the indictment he was a lock... now... what do you think?

It's tough to say now, because we don't know how the voters five years from now are going to feel about the whole steroids issues. Obviously their treatment of McGwire suggests some raw nerves, but it's tough to say whether that will hold or if a certain level of acceptance will set in.

At this point, I'd say he deserves it for what he did before his period of illegal steroids use. However, if the vote happened today, I think he'd be held out.

I think that Bonds will eventually be in the Hall of Fame. At this point I don't think he'll get voted in because of the steroids and the fact that he has been very contentious with the media. The media votes play a huge part in who gets into the Hall. I think if and when he gets in it will come from the Veterans Committee.

There is no justification to keep him out. Thanks to Bud Selig and the owners and the Players' Union, there isn't a THING to keep him out. They blew the PEDs issue so you can't keep him out for that. He has the worst personality and the worst attitude imaginable but so did Ty Cobb. You can be banned for betting but I've never heard of anyone being banned for lying. I hate the guy, but he will go in. First ballot.
