Just because they havn't played anyone doesn't mean they can't beat anyone. Thats why they SHOULD get a BCS bid, so they can have a chance. It is all about the chance people

No you should probably go to jail for beating up an 8 year old

You still have to play your conference schedule and thats why I like a playoff system, but I think Hawaii has been impressive enough to have a chance

Just addressing Hawaii by itself:

I believe Hawaii deserves to be in a BCS bowl this year. Matching them up against a big team would give a very interesting David vs Goliath element while settling the question as to whether or not Hawaii can hang with the big teams.

If they win, we know they can do it. If they barely lose, we know they've got the shot. If they get blown out, we know they've got some work to do.

I'd watch.

So, if we give out BCS bids based solely on record, then be prepared to watch everyone schedule every Sun Belt and Division I-AA team they can find for their non-conference opponents.

Hope you enjoy playing $50 to watch Texas play Morgan State.

no... it's all about not looking like a really big over-rated bum (a la Ohio State last year).
