Mild Makeup.
No Makeup: This can make you look like you don't care about your appearance at work (which can make you seem like you don't care enough about the job to take care of yourself) & tired.
Too Much Makeup: This can make you look sloppy, sleezy, give an innappropriate image for work, and overall unprofessional.
I think this is a professional look:

You can wear makeup in the workplace, but it must be moderate. Too much is not for the workplace it for a night on the town.

A little bit usually does it. It also depends where you work. For example, a female hair stylist might wear more makeup than a female mechanic. A bit of mascara, foundation, blush and eye shadow usually does it, along with a dab of lip gloss. You want to be chic while still being classy, so bear in mind that less is more.

There is a way of putting on makeup with it looking like your not wearing any. Put on a foundation that can blend with your natural face color.(you can use a bronzer, but make sure your face isn't to dark that it looks fake.) Use a light eye liner and some neutral shimmer eye shadow. You can also put on mascara and a little bit of blush. To find out what color blush works for your face pinch your cheek and that is the shade you should use.

That solely depends on where you work, what you look like etc.
If you put on too much makeup it may look cheesy, But if you put on too little it could look frumpy.
You need like a swipe of mascara, some concealer on red spots or zits, lip gloss and maybe eyeliner or a touch of eyeshadow.
That is about it.

Wear make up so you look polished and poised. Jessica Biel is the only person I can think of that actually looks better without makeup.

Makeup, but only a little. It shows you care about looking nice at your work, and try, but you are mature and sophisticated enough to not put on too much!

A small amount of makeup is usually the best.

I figure if no one knows I'm wearing makeup, I've got it just about right for work.
