We can start as soon as we figure out how to increase Mars mass so that it can hold onto an atmosphere. And then we need to haul an atmosphere like that of Titan or Venus so Mars gets the same amount of nitrogen as earth. Otherwise the atmosphere will not be livable. You figure those little obstacles out we are good to go. It would, really, be easier to terraform Venus instead of trying to move chunks of its atmosphere to Mars.

Tomorrow at 3:15, bring your shovels!

Kidding. There are no plans as of yet to terraform mars. There probably won't be until this planet becomes unlivable. Besides, terraforming a planet will take a couple hundred years, you would be long dead by then!

Probably about in 100 years if there are no major setbacks and some of the technical and physical issues can be worked out in the next 10 to 20 years. If not I would probably say in 200 years. It will happen someday as long as we don't kill ourselves first.

Ain't gonna happen. It may be possible to send a manned mission to Mars some day, but we are unbelievable far from colonizing Mars. At least not in my lifetime or yours.
