You can answer the question yourself if you are told the fact , after so many years, that at birth someone changed yor number on your wrist and you were handed over not to your real parents but to some other family.

Faith, etc, are all man made which at one time was seamless but have grown into major barriers.

As a believer in rebirth I feel that the soul that gets into your body , at birth will find its unwinding of karma in whichever faith you are brought up. The soull has to evolve to a higher plane and any faith can give that opportunity.

Yes and No because of free-will. Yes there aspects of yourself that you are attracted to and feel passion about and NO because made-be because of self doubt or conditioning from your parents that does not allow you don't follow your path. It can be by chance that you fall right into your path or a serendipity you find your path. So it comes down to your path in life. How do you find it? Well I think you got to want it. I believe in intending your path for this life.

Chance and coincidence have a lot to do with it. Along with your talent (or lack of same), your determination to succeed, and a million other factors possibly having to do with Karma.
