You're a little over 5 months pregnant.
Ultrasounds are never 100%. The reliability at 16 weeks depends a lot on the skill of the technician and the position of the baby. You'll probably have another ultrasound around 30 weeks, and that should give you the peace of mind about the gender.

There are typically 4 weeks in a month so 21 weeks is 5 months, 1 week pregnant. You can never really count on the sex of the baby until you have it however; technology is so advanced that most people have whatever sex child they were told at the ultrasound.

21 weeks equals a little more than 4 and a half months. You couldn't figure that out on your own??? Just count back from your due date.
Ask your doctor if you can count on what gender they said you're having.
And, by the way, newsflash to all the other answerers on this question: 11 out of 12 months have more than 4 weeks in them! So you can't just divide 21 by 4. And you're mocking her!

You are currently five months and 1 week.
most of the time you can count on what the sonographer tells you because the are trained, but on occassions at my doctors office we are wrong. it could depend on the way the baby is laying or etc. but 9/10 you can truly depend on that. When you go back for your next ultrasound just ask the sonographer to check again..

i was in the same situation as you
confused and so readdy to be farther along.im going by a chart the ob.gyn gave me so i would rely on it
21 weeks is the last week of your 5th month,your in your second trimester and have 4 months left till your full term

I remember feeling the same way. What I did was inverted the response to the baby's perspective. Then I knew I knew the answer. Just think, "dark spooky crevices within the mother's ulva."
