telemarketing aka cold calling is soliciting not a goods way to make $ the only people that stay on the phone are lonely senior citizens who get conned in and lose whatever income they have. if a company relies on telemarketing that sad we have the technology to advertise in wso many other ways

Boy some of these responses were harsh.

Oh well my recommendation if you are really interested in developing a work at home career, I would think beyond simply telemarketing, where you need to deal with people like this and look more towards business to business lead generation.

Speak with local business is a great place to start and some easy online research will develop a lot of opportunities

There are also numerious freelance sites out there to, but again I recommend doing some research on them prior to joining.

If this is a long term career decision for you, then you may need to start thinking like a business operation when it comes to planning and marketing.

The reason I say this is because you will come across time from time companies that want to work on a Pay per Lead basis, which most like yourself may shy away from.

Never say no without looking at each opportunity indiviaully, evaluating the risk and benefits and seeing if it fits into your plans. Trust me, with the right partnership, some ppl projects can pay handsomely.

Happy Calling

The do not call list has slowed down telemarketing a lot, and pretty well killed the telemarketing jobs from home since a fair amount of technology is needed onsite to prevent calls to people on the do not call list - if they are called anyway, the company can be sued.

No such thing, but if you find a JOB in telemarketing that pays you for staying at home let me know. Most telemarketing is done from India and countries where $500.00 a month is considered a very good wage.
