try this if you just snap your fingers but not as hard what do your hear, you hear the friction from the snap, so its a combination of the friction and your fingers sliding off of eachother.

i just snapped my fingers, like 50 times, and i'm pretty sure it's when the middle finger releases from my thumb, there is no sound when my finger hits the palm of my hand.
