I would say Antawn Jamison of the Washington Wizards. Can't keep his man in front of him, is lost on the pick and roll, and gets back doored all the time. The guy is lost on defense.

Mike Dunleavy JR is also pretty bad.

I'd have to say it's Antawn Jamison or Jason Kapono. Last year I thought it was Amare Stoudemire, but this year it looks like he's playing pretty good D.

And Steven R, Steve Nash averages 0.9 steals a game... Thats the league average bud. Nice job contradicting yourself. He also takes more charges then the rest of the suns team put together. He's an average defender, people just compare his defense with his offense and fail to see that.

Let's see...worst player in the NBA...wow I really do believe that there is a few players tied at the way way way bottom of the defensive totem pole. My first nominee, would be college all-star and NBA kind of up and comer, JJ Reddick. Now first of all, let me add that I am not counting players who dont see some decent minutes, because they are not even worth discussion. JJ is a great spot up shooter, but he is not quick, nor athletic, nor big in size, nor a presence on the defensive end period. He gets abused in the post, and smoked on the perimeter, not pretty fly, for a white guy. Next, is Stephon Marbury, and I wouldn't necessarily say that Stephon is the worst defensive player in the NBA, but he's a lazy piece of sheeaat, not to mention an uncoachable sell out. Antawn Jamison is not that big of a joke, he is definetly still a force to be reckined with in the NBA offensively, and he is defense is a bit lackluster, but he is still a presence on D. T-Mac is waaaay lazy on defense, which by the way, if you couldnt figure it, lazy players piss me off. If you get paid millions a year to play a sport you love, then you need to question your motives for living. Yeah, thats right, I pretty much said kill yourself, or think about it, or quit being a lazy son of a beast all the time, you polesmoking whorebags. Moving on then, has anybody ever seen anybody on the Clippers besides Elton Brand and sometimes Sasquatch aka Chris Kaman, play defense at all? Is Mike Dunleavy's coaching mentality consist of 4 out of his 5 guys on the floor cherry picking the entire game? I mean he doesnt actually do that, but he might as well, cuz the Clippers D is weeeaaakk.. sheeaattsss weeeeaaaakkk. Also, the Golden State Warriors need to quit being so lazy on defense as well. Maybe if they played D like the Jazz, they would have beat them. But the Jazz play D like the Jazz, and thats why with a pretty young team, went to the Western Conference Finals last year. Defense is the foundation of basketball. It is the reason why teams like the Pistons in 04, can beat teams like the Lakers in 04. I mean Kobe, Shaq, the Mailman, and Gary Payton on cocaine? What a combo. How did they lose? Cuz of defense, thats right you silly homos. Anyway, thats about all I got.

Alpha, stop making up stuff that Phil Jackson says. The worst defensive player in the NBA, well, I'll admit JJ Redick isn't the best, but he's still awesome. My vote would be for some of the HS guys like Gerald Green.

Michael "Call me Sive" Redd

If the opposing team has a player down in the dumps and needs to have a killer game, just put M Redd on him and that guy will be an all-star that night.

He doesn't know defense, he is only a shooter...His assist are up this year, he is passing but in early parts of the games as time passes it becomes the Michael Redd show...where he puts all his energy in offense and forgets what defense is...

I think you haven't really watched. The worst defender in the NBA is Steve Nash how can you be even remotely considered a decent point guard if you average less then a steal a game and turn the ball over more then 4 times a game? That's what you call pathetic! Devin Harris as well because he can't do anything but flop.

it got to true, one person can't posses all the skills that is created by the allmighty..........if you good in defense then defense is your thing and if your good in offense then offense is your thing...........i am going to say that Kobe Bryant of the L.A Lakers is the worst defense player in the NBA.

Stephon Marbury because his defensive strategy is to wait till he gets to play offense again.
