Parents don't make up Santa Claus. They tell the story of Santa to give our children something exciting to look forward to. Some of my best memories are from Christmas time when I was a child.

I think they make it up to spice up the magicalness of christmas. i mean christmas would be all about getting getting getting for little kids if there wasnt santa. santa helps the kids to remember to be good and it makes things alot more fun for them. its like a tradition too. i think if a parent believed in santa as a kid then their children would too.

Santa Claus was a real person aka St. Nicholas. In a small town in the mid East, people looked forward to his gifts. He basically saved people from poverty. He taught people random acts of kindness through generosity. Through his teachings, the people carried on the kindness and spread it. And now, mixed with some dutch folklore, it's commercialized!

Think of it this way....
There would be hardly and Christmas story's without santa caluse... Christmas would be very boring...
Imagine how your child hood would have been without trying to catch santa :)

or waiting for the big bite out of the cookies you labored all day to make with your family.

It's just better to know you had fun :)

**and ps. Saint Nick... Is a real dude. parents just exaggerated him**

He isn't made up. Saint Nick was a real person that was known for his giving nature. He lived centuries ago, but his spirit lives on in the North Pole where he travel all over the world on Christmas to give presents to good behaving children.

Google Saint Nick. I'm sorry if you thought he was fake. :(

Santa's not made up... He's alive and well at the North Pole, and he comes every year on Christmas Eve.
