Why is rainbow 6 vegas not working?

I just got a gateway gt5628, here are the system specs http://www.gateway.com/retail/gt5628.php
When i try to play it nothing happens. It won't even go to the loading screen. I went to www.systemrequirementslab.com and it says i pass the recommended requirements but on the rb6 requirement tool it doesn't detect the CPU frequency (GHz) so i don't pass the minimum requirements.

The problem is you have a quad-core CPU. You need to apply the latest patch, and maybe turn the CPU affinity to 1 (i.e. use only one core).
