I just got it yesterday. Can i start feeding it or wait a bit for it to settle in its new house? He's a bit on the skinny side and he won't eat crickets but does sniff around to see whats there. He is active when i m not in the room but when i walk in he puts his head on the floor. I know he active because i put a cam in to see what he does. Can i feed him in his enclosure or do i take him out and put him in a feeding tank? I will feed him frozen/thawed mice he is a foot long how big of a mouse can he eat? They told me to feed him hoppers once a week but i know to feed them once everyother day. He is a bit tempermental but its because he stressed from moving at the petstore he was so friendly! I'm going to put some meat on that bone. I have him in a 45gallon tub for now but he'll be moved to a 75gallon tub as soon as the store i buy em from restock.

Here are some excellent care sheets and diet info. It is best to let any reptile alone for a week to settle in and become comfortable in their new habitat. You can feed him in his enclosure as long as there is no danger of ingesting substrate. Most don't have any problem eating, in fact becoming overweight is usually a problem with these guys! Don't forget to get a fecal sample checked by an experience reptile vet.
