I am trying to write a Technical Report for a class. It is about a very controversial social issue, but I cannot include my opinion. I have done all my research but I cannot get past a few sentences. I am so frustrated! What do you recommend?

Walk away from your project for a few minutes, and get a snack or anything to get your mind totally off of your paper. When you come back, organize your thoughts, and then try to write again.

write a dialog paragraph between you and your teacher. Ask him/her what she wants you to do on the paper. The paragraph will have two characters...you and your teacher. Just play along with anything that comes to mind And have fun with the dialog...don't think about it...just write nonstop for 15 mins to half an hour. As the dialog goes back and forth between you and her/him...you will eventually get to the point where you can ask her exactly what you want to know about the structure of your paper. Tell her you are having problems keeping your opinions out of it...and listen to suggestions...
hope this helps...

Try to look at the oppositional viewpoint, assess its logic, and write your opinions against the insertion.

Typically when writer's block surfaces, a different view on the topic will help the writing juices to flow again.
