I know it's the most precious thing we have but I need some proof to support this. No principle however glorious justifies taking someone's life and no matter what the person did or how many people that person killed no human has the right to kill that person.

Dude, why life is precious can not be answered in a few lines. Have you ever been to hospital, and seen the people in there, desperately holding on and believing in the power of prayer and the talent of their physicians and nurses to restore them back to health? That is something that can not be out into words. That is something that you see in their eyes, into their souls, and you feel for them. How about the terror in the eyes of those who have been victimized by abusers? The innocence and trust that they had stolen from them can never be replaced. Some are better at suppressing bad memories than others. Capital punishment is supposed to serve as a warning to those with criminal mindsets to watch themselves and know that if they take life, they will most likely pay for their crime with their own. Now, having said that, there are not many murderers who's lives are worth a good goddamn in the first place, and they know it, so it is no real sacrifice for them to be put out of their misery. Keeping them alive in a prison, fed, clothed, all basic needs met, is that a fair price to pay for snuffing out someone else?

My daughter. I am 26 now. I had her when i was 21. My love for her saved me from an abusive relationship and a world of drugs. Because of her I make wiser decisions and have become less selfish. Nothing else can compare. The love of a child is the most precious thing in life. If you are not a mother or a father you may not understand. When you do become one, you will realize how right I am.

Not exactly correct. No "one" person should be allowed to make that decision by him/herself. But if two or more testify wittiness the killer(s) God said; The killers bloodshed will contaminate the land. He/She should be put to death.
The murderers had a choice, but not there victims. Not God's choice either. But He gave us free will. We are to manage this earth, and things work out better if we listen to our Father in Heaven. This Country's system was built on biblical standards. A jury of twelve have to all agree. It's not perfect, but it's been the best. If you don't agree try living in Iraq. Or one of the many other countries where murder is rampant.

life on our planet is at the present time is the only known example of it.so as a commodity it is priceless. As the individual lives of all add up to the sole instance in the known multiverse we all should do as doctors have done try to preserve any and all life
However notwithstanding my thoughts above there are some creatures who through their conscious actions affect the lives of all and must be stopped from their unconscionable actions in any way neccessary

I get the first part... But the second part really confused me. Here's my thoughts on the first part though.

Life is the most precious thing we have because without it, we don't have anything that we can hold onto. Get it?

its the most prescious thing we have becuase it can be gone in a second, and that all we have and own is in it. i also think its teh most precious because of memories. life is very short and flies and that makes it soo much more precious.

are you talking about capital punishment?

anyway, life is the most precious thing we have cause...well, what else do we have (outside of religious terms)? Death? pft. what do we do in death? sit there and decompose to fertalize some tree? yea...that's precious

life is all we have. it's all we have to use, to give. without it, we have nothing else.
