There was a movie a couple years ago called The Fog that looks exactly like The Mist. Coincidence?

The Mist is a movie based on a Stephen King short story that was originally published in 1980, but written years before. The movie The Fog was in theaters in 1980. Aside from the presence of a fog, both movies are very different.

The Fog was actually a remake of a 1970's movie of the same name. The mist, while similar, is a movie based on an end of the world situation. The Mist is said to be based on a biblical prediction about when the world ends and demons take over the earth for a period of time and all light is snuffed out.

I read The Mist years ago, it's a great Stephen King short story that I hope translates to the screen well.
I also remember the original John Carpenter version of The Fog, but I never saw the recent remake.
The two stories are very different.

I believe " The Mist" , was originally written as a book by Stephen King,and probably released before " The Fog". TF probably even was influenced by TM book, which is now being turned into a movie.

That's easy... Guys are intimidated and girls are jealous of how stunningly beautiful you are. Most people assume that you're stuck up. Goes to show you that you can't judge a book by it's cover. Most of the girls I date have very similar features and get the same responses. Don't change a thing about yourself, but get used to people having the wrong impression. No one is original anymore... It's either a rip off or a remake of some old classic.
