Disney!!!! been to both. Stood with Disney a few years back, and it was excellent. Was in Universal this past october. Believe me, you only need two days in universal. One day for each park. They do have cool things to do at universal. However, it gets bored kinda quick. Universal is for the older crowd. Espceially, City Walk.
Disney is t he best. U need more than one week to visit all the parks. Espeically in the summer time. People say Disney is only for kids, that is sooo wrong! adults enjoy it too.It brings those disney classics to life in front of your eyes. And pleasure Island is geared to the adults. Disney may be exspensive but wayyyy wayy worth it. See if they have any meals deals! if u go to universal and plan on staying there all day! get the meal deal, its about 20$ and u can eat all day at certain places, u can eat as much as u please.
Orlando, there is a lot to do, International drive is cool, has tons of things to do. Downtown Orlando is very nice near lake Eola. Lots of malls and outlet stores in orlando. Festival bay mall, looks very attractive, but very boreing! Florida mall is way better. I would like to give u lots of info since I been to both disney and universal, and I expereinced "The city" of Orlando, but I will have to write a book!lol if u want info e-mail me at LastBattle2006@yahoo.com

I think Disney World is great for all ages. I have been to Universal several times and it was just so so to me. Universal does not have near as many attractions and the lines are usually very long. Disney World has 4 parks (as well as 2 water parks) where as Universal only has Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios. Disney World is a little pricier but well worth the extra money.
I like these websites for tickets:

Best wishes and have fun!

Disneyworld consists of several parks: the Magic Kingdom which is like Disneyland in Anaheim, Animal Kingdom, which is like a blend of a zoo and amusement park, Disney-MGM which is a bit like Universal Studios, and Epcot. There's also Downtown Disney (which is shopping/dining) and the Disney/ESPN Sports Complex (which has a baseball stadium which has spring training, which probably doesn't start til after you leave.) They also have some water parks.
I'd recommend that you get a parkhopper pass for one day and start real early at one Disney Park. After you've finished all the stuff you want to do, head to the next one. To plan your trip, check out which park stays open the latest and plan to go there last; see which opens first, and go there first.
The next day, go to Universal Studios. Then you have a bit of everything.
Doesn't sound like you have a lot of time to spend there. If you had a little more time you could spend 2 days in the Disney parks and one at Universal.
For activities at Disney better suited for teens, see http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/experience/experienceLanding?id=TeensExperiencePage&count=3
I'd go to Disney and get a parkhopper pass which lets you visit multiple parks in the same day. That way, if you get tired of one park, you just hop on the bus and go to the next one.
The Magic Kingdom is more geared to little kids but the other parks work better for older kids and adults.

if you haven't been to disney, then go. If you have been there, then Universal. Took the kids to disney 12 years ago and then again last year. It was the same. Epcot is really lame. It hasn't been updated in years.

Depends on your age. If you are 10 and under Disney would be good but anyone over the age of 10 Disney is a bore. Check out universal. You can get the prices for passes on line.

There is alot of shopping and sports to take up in florida.
I went there a few years ago, and universal studies is much better than dieney land.
If your the type of person that really likes rides, i would suggest going to bush gardens and islands of adventures. They are really fun for thrill seekers
But if not, sea world is pretty good too. lots of animals and only a few rides
