i'm only 17, but was wondering
how could I movie to america.
other then marriage.

I want to live in nyc.
(i have no relatives who live there.)

and was wondering how could i move there
permanently. and how long it would take

I think you want to live in the united states, you already live in America, Canada is at last report still part of North America.

Here are a few thoughts. Marriage to an American does not guarantee citizenship. Becoming a citizen takes forever and a day. Contact the US Embassy in Ottawa for more information about that. You might think about coming down to NYC as a student. It's a start and you can get a good idea of life in the Big Apple. It'll definitely cost a few bucks, but the exchange rate is pretty good for you guys at the moment. Basically the most direct route is to get a job with a Canadian company with representation in the US and try to get transferred here. You're being 17 kind of hurts those chances which is why I recommended the college thing.

Come in thru Mexico, that way you won't have to wait your turn and you won't be arrested or deported and you will have all the benefits we Americans and illegal aliens now enjoy. At least the Canadians can speak english.
