I have never been married so I wouldn't know. I would assume that we have to think about the type of people in the relationships. Some people cannot handle living alone for very long or they are insecure. Others make a big deal out of divorce and marriage. I always said that if I were to get married it would only be once. I think if we are truly honest with ourselves we know when we are attracted to people for the wrong reasons. There is more to marriage than physical attraction and there is more to life than marriage. It is a hard question to answer because of the complexity of every relationship. For me once would be enough and for the next person it may be ten happy marriages. Personally I think it is abused because of wealth and security.
