my convict chases my fire mouth(just got it today) around the tank and i dont see any torn fins yet but i was wondering if this is territorial behavior,but i also have a albino tiger oscar,tiger oscar,and a plecostomas in that tank and i haven seen any of this behavior yet

yes that territorial i use to have convicts with firemouth ocars and even red devil and thats territorial beharior re-arrage ur decorations that should help

So in your 220 gallon tank,your having problems with a new fish.Oscars really are not all that aggressive,more territorial.So if no one disturbs their territory,no problems.Convicts are aggressive and territorial,firemouths can be too.So to keep 2 of these fish(convicts and firemouth),you will need 75 gallons to keep both,plus the 100 gallons for the oscars,and another 40 or so for your pleco.So you have this much water for all 5 fish,right?If you don't there's your problem

you keep non-aggressive fish with non-aggressive fish.
aggressive fish with aggressive fish can result in no fish.
