No, the gimme generation bought into the SS scam and thats going to be their downfall. Cash flow on SS will be negative within a couple of years. The "trust" fund is an accounting gimmic and it won't matter if it shows money on the books, the fact is the system relies on cash coming in and that's drying up at the same time as the gimme generation needs it.

The gimme generation supported labor laws and import tariffs that allowed the U.S. auto industry to produce the junk they manufactured in the 70's and sign deals with the unions that are putting Ford, GM and Dodge out of business.

As for the Nazi's you sold us out to the communist to defeat the socialist, let the commies have western Europe, North Korea and North Vietnam. We've still got troops in Germany, Japan, and Korea. Because you guys don't know how to finish a job.

I'm just a few years away from being able to stop working and I won't need SS. I also won't be paying it. Good luck when they start trying to raise SS taxes to pay for the gimme's there's going to be a tax revolt and social security is going to be gone within 5 years.

Your generation sowed the seeds of hate of America in the Middle East by sanctioning regime change in Iran, for the sake of an oil company (Eisenhower/BP 1953).

Your generation conducted immoral secret medical experimentation, such as the Tuskegee Study of Untreated Syphilis in the ***** Male.

Your generation tried to convince the world that cigarette smoke was safe.

I'm glad your generation saved the world from Nazi Germany. My generation gave us technology that could take us to the moon. Maybe you should have tried some pot. I doubt you'd be so cranky.

The first four to answer this must have taken their American and World history class from John Freakin Kerry.

There was a race between our troops and the Russkies to see whom got to Berlin first then Ike pulled our troops in and let the Russians pay for every step in blood.

Ungrateful, undereducated idiots.

Your generation also lost Vietnam, let McCarthyism rule and hesitated on issues of civil rights. You're not all good or all bad.

My generation is being sent to fight in another Vietnam and has hardly had a chance to prove itself yet. Don't judge so quickly.

EDIT: Don't bother to message me if you're simply going to call me a "pot smoking coward". Jumping to conclusions about people you don't know is hardly a commendable attribute; clearly you have not wizened or matured with age.

Only inferior people( or rather, people who have inferiority complexes) brag about "their generation." What have you ever "personally" done to deal with your issues concerning egoism? All generations are composed of individuals and individual achievements. Bad mouthing other folks for whatever particular age they happen to be is absurd as saying all blue eyed people are smarter than brown eyed people, or people with small noses smell like fish.

It was more the Russians who saved Europe from the Nazis.

Your generation will be sucking my social security teat until you die. Where as, I will never see a dime I paid into the Socialist form of government that our lovely WWII President enacted.

You are the one's causing the current economic collapse. Either by greed, or more predominantly living way beyond your means.

if your under 70 you can hardly take credit for any of those things...

my generation is just getting started... and I'm pretty sure it can do better than the current one in charge... but no so sure it can top the one you speak of...
