Yep, gotta treat your house. And earlier post said to use a spray with an IGR in it. Make sure that it gets the fleas, eggs, and larvea. Hand held sprayers are the best, because you can get to the areas you need to get to. They will be breeding and laying eggs anywhere that it is dark: under your couch cushins, under your couch, behind your drapes, in the dark corners. They like darkness, so if you get a bomb, unless you remove ALL the furntiure, you won't get them all. Also, repeat in 14 days, even if the can of spray says not too. The flea life cycle is 14 days, that way you know you got them all. If you have ANY other animals in the house at all, treat them with Advantage or Frontline. The store bought stuff doesn't seem to be working on this years fleas very well for some reason. Also, when you vaccume, make sure to take out your bag or emtpy your canister OUTSIDE your house, or they will climb out of the garbage back into your rug.
By the way, each female flea can lay an estimated 200 eggs. So for each flea you see, she could have just laid another 200 baby fleas under your feet, deep in your carpet. Just a bit of info.

They don't die. They can live without blood. You need an exterminator, or the fleas died in my carpet when I got my dog some advantage, his was $12 for 1 tube that lasts 30 days he is the size of a cat.

Along with the flea bombs, try Knockout. It's an awesome spray that works real good. I can get it around my area for about $17 per can. Call your local vets office(s) to check on the price.

Nope. They look for their next lunch on the next warm-blooded living thing... if no pets are present, then that would be you.
Yep, looks like a bombing is in order. Either that, or weekly baths and dips for you.

fleas don't live on a pet, they live in the environment (umm, that would be your home).
Don't bomb them, use a spray with an IGR in it.
