I have been on Seasonique for almost a year now, and I still haven't quite regulated. I have 2 1/2 months with no bleeding whatsoever, then the last 1/2 of a month I get light bleeding all the way to the end of the pill pack. Would it be a bad idea to just skip straight to the period pills? I'd rather not have my period for the next 3 weeks.

I have never done Seasonique but I have talked to some women who have. One of the things I found out about this medication along with its sister product Seasonale is that spotting and breakthrough bleeding can be a side effect of trying to adjust to the medication because it can take up to 3 months to fully adjust to the medication.

Also, sometimes spotting can indicate that your body finds that the amount of hormones in the medication is too low for it to handle (been thru this with other brands of birth control pills before).

As for skipping to the next pack now I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
