That are below $1000? I need thermal cameras, and all the ones that i find are like, at least $4000.

You don't say what kind of camera...are you looking for a still photograph camera, or a video-type camera?

If you want to take pictures of IR/Thermal things such as the hot/cold spots on a roof to show lack of insulation in winter, then a Pentax K-1000 film camera will work well. Just use IR film and the IR setting. It's an old camera (made from early 1970's through about 1996), but very sturdy and reliable camera. Nothing automatic on it -- it's fully manual.

Cost new is less than a $300 -- lots of used ones for much less.

The technology for thermal cameras is expensive. If you need an actual camera, you probably can not find anything for $1000. They do make IR temperature measurement tools that are less than $1000 but these do not give an image, just a measurement of the IR radiation coming from the object it is pointed at. To get an accurate temperature, you need to have the unit calibrated for the emissivity of the surface.

good luck
