im asking because i know a girl whos name is mengel and its very speacial because i never seen it in many baby books or never heard of it as a first name. I have heard of it as a last name but not a first name, the girl mengel feels very depressed because she is the only mengel that she knows. help?

Mengel is an awful name. It makes me think of the Nazi Joseph Mengele. That's a terrible association to have.

No I have not heard of the name Mengel. But that is a pretty name. Well as far as being depressed because of her name, tell her not to be, because you're more unique and her name is one in a million, not one of a million. But her name is beautiful...I like it!

I am also reminded of the Nazi Dr. Joseph Mengele, the man who performed experiments on babies like they were lab rats. what an awful thing to name a child!

never heard of it but why would that make her depressed? it is unique and doesn't define who she is, she defines who it is.
