only when i seem to care too much for someone and I find out they never cared at all.

I never did before, until recently I made the mistake of caring for someone who didn't deserve it and was hurt in return. I felt like a complete idiot for a few moments only, then I realized that just because one person is a jerk doesn't mean that I should stop caring and trying to help others who are worthy of that care.
