The tank is already filled up, with live fish in it, i cannot dump, any water out. I beleive the person said that its 22.08 is right, unless someone else can show some work. Also is 17" tall, and 24" long, and 12.5" wide. So how many gallons.

Volume = l x w x h = 17 x 24 x 12.5 = 5100 cubic inches.

1 gallon = 231 cubic inches

5100 cubic inches = 22.08 gallons.

Cheers!

...Do you mean 12 1/2? So, that's 25/2" wide.
To get the gallons inside, that's the volume of the tank. The volume is:
V=l*w*h, where l=length, w=width, h=height.
so V=24*(25/2)*17=5100
Therefore, it holds 5100 gallons.

If you divide Clueless's answer by 8, you will get approximately jow many gallons are in the tank, as a gallon of water weighs about 8 lbs.

Volume is equal to Length*Width*Height. V=lwh
V= 17*24*121/2
V=408*60.5
V=24684 inches cubed
you need to convert it to cubic feet
24684/12^3
24684/1728=14.284722222222222222222...
Now convert to gallons
106.857142857 gallons

1. weigh the empty tank (jog down the number)
2. fill in the tank
3. weigh the tank with water (jog down the second number)

so now, second number - first number, you will get your answer

LOL

ok, now let's try something different
find the volume of the tank

People really need to pay attention to the conversion factors

17*24*12.5 = 5100 in3

1 in3 = .0043 gallons

5100*.0043 = 21.93 gallons
