Banks and corporations. Mostly corporations. Think about it. The vast majority of the people want something done about illegal immigration. It is not happening. Even the President switched sides for amnesty. We have the money to build the fence appropriated. Why hasn't it been done? Because groups that back business is lobbying against it.

I asked a question similar to this earlier. Rhetorically, my answer is " A group of very wealthy and powerful power-hungry covert people with an agenda" 80% of americans that were interviewed about the Kennedy assasination do not believe that Lee Harvey Oswald was the only asassin and that only he was involved. Why did the Federal reserve all of the sudden take charge of our currency in the wee hours of the night in 1907 was it? Now we are a huge debter nation with 10 trillion in debt and our money will soon be worthless,that's why they are illegally stamping that new "amero" money in Denver. The rich have worn our current money outyet they hold all these "assets". Why this "love hate" relation with Saudi-arabia? Or the sauds hate against us and so on. Huge special interest lobbies with trillion dollar budgets "control" legislation. CIA drug kickback money, "black opps" is all in black and white for u to look at in files in congress. The bulk of the worlds oil lies in Iraq! And we went because of "weapons of mass distruction"? W.W.2 was really started over sanctions on Japanese steel.....Money....wealth.....domination....power.
Kennedy wanted to let the damn Naval intelligence have power over undercover investigation just like it had been doing splendedly before them and look, he got his brains blown out, how horrible. No one can find a law that says that income tax is legal. That all started when we had to go to war in W.W. 1. and has continued to increase as time goes by. Who controls the U.S.A.? Whomever has the most power, influence and MONEY. America has fought everywar that we ever had over whomever rich bastards would benifit the most whether the war was won, lost or tied (vietnam and Korea)

I think a lot of members of Congress have "obligations" to their corporate backers.
The Republicans are once again starting a drive to hand Social Security over to the Banking and Investment businesses.
Prepare for another broadside about the "inefficiencies" and "bad investment" that Social Security is.
But after that, then go ask the elderly if they would give it up for a investment account and see what they say.

Easy, its the 26% of the American population who vote as a block--its fundimental christians at the moment. since ony 50% of the electorate vote--it really doesnt take much for the minority to get drunk with power---and the politicians are all just clamoring to please the major voting block--thus they appease the 26% rather than doing whats best for the country.
