i think for me the hardest thing would be not being able to sit down and enjoy reading a book. hearing it and using your fingers to read just wouldn't be the same. also not being able to see my grandkids grow up and what they look like.

agreed with the first answerer. Think about put a blind fold over your eyes and walk to see the difference between vision and lack of vision. See the difference between the two?. I tried that too. It's more complex and hard to not see rather than to have eyes.

My brother went blind about 8years ago,with ''glaucoma''
He is getting along pretty good,his wife does all the driving,shopping what ever needs to be done.
I live in California,he lives in Arkansas,i am going back in June to see him.

To answer your question, I would have to find a way to survive my new life. I would have to learn all the ways that other blind people learn. I hope and pray you don't have a problem to be bringing this up.

Yes it would be very hard, but I already have poor vision, and I am surprised that the eye drs. can even help me. I cant see anything without my contacts.
