Is 19 years of age to late to start learning how to play the piano?

My wife is a perapetetic music teacher - and the piano is one of her instruments.

Her oldest pupil is knocking on 70 now and he started to play the Trumpet when he was in his mid 60's.

He's now Grade 4 and is determined to get his grade 5. He's also started to play the Sax

No your never too old, when I was very young my Mum sent me for lessons I hated it, the woman was an old witch, Mum used to pay half a crown that's 25pence now, it was a lot of money in 1965, if I didn't get a note right she would hit me over the knuckles with a ruler. I think playing the piano is lovely.

Its never to late. What you put in to it, is what you will get out of it.Study hard and keep to it. If you aim at nothing you'll hit the sopt every time. If you pick a target it's much harder, but the rewards are much greater!!!! Good Luck!!

Absolutely not! I started learning at 50 and can now play all sorts. I love it and it makes me really happy. You will be fine. Good luck!
