thanks for the responses but you can only use yourselves; no special equipment, nada.

the wall is 5'7" tall and there are 9 people. I can figure it out for the first 8 people. I can only surmise that the last person will have to be really strong to boost the 8th person over the wall but what about the last person?

At first I thought this was a riddle, and then I looked at the subject and it's math and physics. So now I'm guessing it's a physics question? I looked up some stuff, and it depends on your wall height and width, the velocity of the person, the weight of the person, the angle that is jumped, and any other elements ie. weather, terrain, etc

It's almost like the high jump at the Olympics. They must run at a certain speed, jump at a specific point and angle, and make up for elements beyond their control to clear the bar. Otherwise they will touch the bar and it will bounce or they will knock it off completely.

So in order to figure this question out you will need mathematical and physics equations.

Ok.. I hope this is what you need. I found a site that gives the physics of a high jump. Then the people on the other side of the wall can catch the last person jumping over!

I can think of many ways.

Get a ladder that is just as tall as the wall. have each member climb the ladder then jump over the wall.

You can use a helicopter to airlift the people to the other side.

You could set up an explosive charge to knock down the wall allowing the people to simply walk over it.

Without any more details about what materials are allowed to be used and which ones are not, these are the solutions that come to mind most readily.

If the nine people aren't in a hurry, they can scrape up enough dirt with their bare hands to build a road over the wall.

A group of doberman guard dogs would do it :-)
