What actually happpens to the body during this time. do we die? or is it just like a dream?

An out of body experience is a feeling separated from one's physical body when one is being able to travel through space and perceive distant locations. Also known as astral travel and astral projection.

I've had innumerable out of body experiences/travelled astrally. When this happens your body feels extremely light and its when you come straight back into your body very quickly that makes you feel you've landed with a bump. When you travel astrally you could go almost anywhere.

I have. The body does not die & you are not just dreaming. The body is dormant while the awareness is out.
