Now people always say Jesus was born on Christmas, but I don't see that in the bible. I don't even see a date. Maybe I'm hallucinatin'. Can anybody show me some scriptural evidence that Jesus was born December 25th.

If we know that Jesus wasn't born on Christmas then why celebrate. Don't you think he would be upset because people lied about him?

Everyone is saying the same thing so It wouldn't be fair to choose a best answer, since they are the same.

really it doesnt matter what day his birthday is on. think about it he was around thousands of years ago. no one actually wrote it down!!!!! i dont think any of the writers in the bible werent even there at the birth but were around when he was born though. It doesnt matter if he was born in june or whatever. the date doesnt matter!!!! its the CELEBRATION!!!

better yet, lets just cancel christmas b/c we can't find a date... if we try real hard and fuss about the whole holiday and everything about it, maybe the life and times of Christ and all he's done will just fade away... how in the world could we have all been so incredulous to come up with a date to observe Christs' day of birth... we celebrate his death... what would come over us to think of another way to honor him throughout the year....

so sorry, i keep seeing this argument... the only people that commercialize Christ birth are the one that don't take advantage of this set aside holiday to spread the real good news...

I've heard that actually its quite likely he was born in September... its some study they've done... maybe this will help... sorry if I come across brash... its an honest question... you just gave me the floor to say this other.

Have a Wonderful Christ day!

There ias no wevidence to support the notion that Jesus was born Dec 25. There are some who believe the spring, I believe it was sometime in the fall, October or their abouts. Besides the shepards their where other little hints as to the October birth. The census takers, the wise men and other little things.
Note: The wise men actually showed up when Jesus was about 2 years old, not as an infant.

He wasn't born December 25th. Just read the article. It's very fascinating. Do I still say Merry Christmas? Heck yah. Even if He wasn't born that day, I still honor His birth.

PLEASE, The date of December 25 was done by Consintine this is common knowledge and the date that Jesus was born was thought to be in August.
This was established by several of the acient texts that were conviently omitted from what we know as the Bible.
If you care to ask about the Books of EZRA there are 3
The Book Of Jubilee. There are probably close to 30 books that were ommited from the Bible.

They say he was actually born in January...the 15th I think.

I celebrate Krismas as I'm not christian...Krismas because of Kris Kringle! SANTA CLAUSE ROCKS! hahaha But to a non christian, it makes sense to take the whole religious thing out of it. Its a beautiful season for Pagans, the Yule and all that.

Whatever you celebrate...enjoy and be safe!

Christmas was just a date picked out to celebrate Jesuss' Birthday.

No one knows the real date.

Why Christmas?
By Mike McCracken

(chorus)
The sun came up one Christmas day
As all the children went out to play
A little girl came up to us
And asked, “Why Christmas?”

Please tell me about Christmas
What does it mean to you?
Some say, “It’s about Jesus”
Some say, “Me and you”

Wise men came to see Him
Angels spoke His name
God bless those who’ll listen
And God bless those who came

Wish Jesus happy birthday
God’s Son was born today
And we will have His party
When, the children play

The sun came up one Christmas day
Another year, the children play
A little girl came up to us
And asked, “Why Christmas?”
