Right... Well My Back Has Been Hurting For Like A Year Now And It Feels Like Its Bruised Sometimes And Other Times It Feels Like It Is Like Broken.... I Am Going To The Doctors Soon Because It Is Getting Worse (I'm 13 BTW, And Its Not Growing Pains Because I Went To The Doctors The Other Week And They Ruled That Out And Said Come Back And We Will Do Some Test Or Something I Can't Exactly Remember) Does Anybody Know What It Could Be? I've Not Banged It Or Anything Either.

Back pain lasting a long time can be from an injury that you hardly remember. If you have no numbness in your legs or burning pain going down your hips and legs then it is probably not relating to a pinched nerve. You need x rays and evaluation by an orthopedic specialist. Being as you have the health plan in England, it may take a long time for you to get the examinations and consultation with a specialist that you need. Better make your follow-up appointments right away and ask your Mum for some paracetamol.

You need to go to a dr. who specializes in sports medicine (they do great with muscle injuries). Have him do any test he needs to do to find the source of your pain.

If he can't find it, go to the neurologist.

If he can't find it, go to a diagnostician.

Don't rule out chinese herbs and acupuncture. Their medicine has been around for much, much longer than ours has, and it's still curing people every day.

Get well, kid. It breaks my heart to see a youngster in long-term pain situations.
