Anyone running for office would have to demonstrate a working knowledge of economics as practiced by our price-directed markets. As a minimum the candidates would have to prove they had read "Basic Economics: A Citizen's Guide To the Economy" by Thomas Sowell.

They would have to know - and understand - the definition of economics as espoused by Lionel Robbins the distinguished British economist. He defined economics as: "The study of the use of scarce resources which have alternative uses."

Perhaps with this reform we would never again hear any babbling about "free" anything. After all, nothing is free. Period. There may not be a cost to the end-user but there is a cost incurred somewhere by someone.

License voters. Unlicensed voters are wrecking our country.

College graduates would be automatically licensed. Others would have to take a written test on their knowledge of economics, politics, history, law and the Constitution.

I would institute Instant Runoff voting so that no one is faced with the ethical dilemma of voting for "the lesser of two evils" or the person I REALLY want to win.

No re-elections. One 5 year term and that is it, and family members can't run if the person wins.

Also, all three branches of government cannot have a majority of one party. E.g. Demos being the majority in all three branches; Repubs being the majority in all three branches.
