i started my period july 18 this year and it is my first year and i have still not had my period once and ive never done anything at all what does this mean and it was a dark brownish and it had clots

Your periods are still trying to regulate themselves. The blood that is a brownish color is just old blood and is normal. It's also normal for some women to have clots in their periods as well because of the uterus getting rid of the lining that built up during the month if a pregnancy should occur. If the clots become bigger than the size of a quarter then that's a reason to be concerned.

I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.

Its still the beginning and your first year so that is normal. If you are athletic, that tends to have an affect on your period. You should definitely see a doctor though.

When I first started having periods they didn't come regularly. Even now after having had it for couple years mine still come later every month. Sometimes when it doesn't come I started getting myself paranoid about it, but it always comes cuz I know I haven't done anything. I wouldn't worry about it if you haven't done anything; it's just late and hasn't had time to regulate since you just started.

rusty color like that is normal but you still havent had any more? in tha case i would visit your doc
