Men:why do they not do what they say?

Question

Why is it when men say they will do something they dont actually do it until you yell at them three or four times??

this question is not for me, me & a few friends where just talking and i thought i like to see what replies i get.

some men are immature, and haven't grown up yet. could be because he doesn't really want to do what u want done, maybe because he's lazy, maybe because he simply could care less.

Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus. We are different and always will be. Every person has there own ways of doing something. Men like men things and sometimes they like attention from a women even if its nagging. Just want to hear someone there. Feeds their lonliness so its not quiet and there alone. But, then some just don't care if you stand on top of a building and yell as loud as you can. That shows just how much they care about you. If they don't want to make the effort there is nothing you can do as a women. They have to want to and you have to change there mind. Alot of work i beleive.

Because we are all different. Not all men are the same as no two women are the same. Yelling tends to make men switch off and ignore the negative energy. If you want something done then love and compassion is the way to go.

Do you respond to negative or positive requests? There is your answer.

Not all men are this way I have known a good few that are. Its to do with there ego's I think, by not doing what you want they have you in there power, they know it will bring a response from you the yelling to get things done, which then boosts there ego's as they feel needed by you. A sad way to feel needed but more of a power game to them.

Because I think they actually mean to do it, but they forget and it's not at the top of their list of priorities, and they know you will remind them so they let the thought go from their head, safe in the knowledge that you will yell it back at them 3 or 4 times.

do you use the "sandwich" style of conversation?...

lotts of meaningless rant about someone at work then a "can you check my tires?" thrown in the middle followed with a list of the people you have fallen out with / are your best friends today?

If so a mans brain is not set up to cope and switches on a off to avoid over loading this complex system. perhaps if you were more direct you may get a result?

Because some men have a one track mind. Or they have a thing called selective hearing. I am glad I don't have that problem. My husband does what I ask the first time or even before I ask.

my theory on the male gender is that they don't grow up, they only get bigger.

a real man can back up what he says with his actions, or at least be responsible enough to apologize for it.

good luck in finding a real man, they are a severe rarity these days!

I never had this experience with any men! I assume you are just not asking them in the right way or in the right moment!

Because they were going to do it when THEY wanted to do it and IF they wanted to do it, but they were forced to do it at a different time because someone was actively yelling at them.

In my house i'm the one that actually does all the things that need doing, as my husband is useless, oh he does pay all the bills, so he is good at something.
