my mom introduced us. She knew him because my brudder and his son were in the same class, football and cub scouts 2gether.
He made the first move by asking me out. I kissed him first though during a movie at the drive in when we were laying in the back of his truck.

We met each other in junior high school, 8th grade to be exact. We were just friends though at first and talked often. I think things really began to move forward when we were 16, I was pregnant with my son and was in a very bad relationship, we would talk daily, he really helped me through. After I dumped the loser I was with, he decided to come visit from OR (I lived in WA). It was truly the best weekend of my life, we spent every waking hour with each other, and my son instantly bonded to him. The night he had to leave, he stayed with me until 11pm and when we said our tearful goodbyes, I knew I would be with him for the rest of my life. I think since we had known each other so well to begin with that we mutually made the first move. Even though we we dating and truly cared for each other we waited a good 6 months before we became intimate. We are still together almost 8 years later. Yes, we have had bad times, but the good times will never be outshadowed by the bad ones.

I met my husband on an online dating site. He contacted me, I responded and the rest is history from there. We talked on the phone for about three weeks, agreed to meet and were married less than six months later. Now it has been a great three weeks of marriage and I know that the next 60+ years are going to be full of happiness and joy.

I met my husband at church. It was second marriage for both of us. I was a member of the church where his dad was pastor, and knew his parents and sister but had never met him, as he lived in another town. One Sunday, his mom (my Bible study teacher) asked for prayer for her son as he was going through a rough divorce. I could relate having recently gone through that myself. I simply assumed I was praying for some much younger man (the sister of his I knew was still in high school!) that I might never even meet.
Well, as the old saying goes, "Be careful what you pray for...." And the punch line is, I prayed for him, and I got him!
A few weeks later, he showed up at church. He was younger, but just 3 years younger (he & his sister are 20 years apart!), and he obviously wanted to date me. The whole church started playing matchmaker, so I knew that I would either have to date him or change churches, and I really liked that little church so I went along, never expecting to fall for him.
He was a military captain at the time (now major) so it was so sweet and romantic almost like old folks version of Officer and a Gentleman! We were engaged within three months and married the next summer, and 7+ years later, on our way to happily ever after.
As far as 1st move, he got my e-mail address at church and sent me a couple of messages, and I invited him to a small town festival that the organization I worked for helped sponsor. We spent that whole day together---for me the purpose was to scare him off by laying out all my baggage right up front, but he didn't scare so easily. It really didn't take long for both of us to realize that God had put us together to give us a second chance at a loving marriage. It has been so wonderful to see how easy a loving relationship is compared to what we had both had to deal with before. Not that I condone divorce; just saying that God can forgive and heal and give people a second chance!

I met my now wife of over 8yrs at a karaoke club. I was out with work colleagues when these tow ladies just happen to join us one of my work mates paid for there drinks the only catch was they had to join us. Needless to say we started chatting found out she liked to dance and so do I so we left and went to a night club and danced until closing well that was way back in the summer of 1998. One other thing neither one of us was looking to hook up with somebody.
She was out with a friend and so was I.
The rest is history.

We met in a nightclub (my first ever night out!) I was 20, he was 42. He got his friend (!) to ask me to dance with him and it went from there.
On our 1st date we moved in together. 6 months later, he proposed in the same club and three months after that he made an honest woman of me.
11 months later we had our first child, and now (8 years on), we have three and have a couple more pencilled in!
I love him so much!!!!

IT was an arranged marriage. I liken it to a job interview. HE came over to my uncle's house, he(his family) made the first move, and asked me stuff they wanted to know about me. I stayed quiet, listened and answered. Of course, I did look nice(had to, for visual effect..but I was casual). Then it was my turn to ask him q's, but I had none. So then our families left us alone at a safe distance to see how we interacted, and all he asked me was if I wore my glasses all the time, and all I asked him was what his favorite food was.
Lame I know, but we're both shy. We were both nervous too. I met his cousin first, his aunt brought the proposal. But things didnt click, so he went and told my guy about me...and I guess he wanted to see me. The rest is history as they say.

She responded to an ad I put in the personals section of our local weekly paper. She wrote to me to introduce herself and gave me her phone number. We talked, agreed to meet. We met, liked what we saw. Continued dating. I met her two young children, saw that they needed a Dad as much as their mother needed a husband. I was also dating a single professional woman who was younger and sexier. But I chose the woman with the kids. That was seventeen years ago and I don't regret it for a moment.

We met in class while in college. He asked me to a movie. I said yes. The date lasted well into the night. A year later, we were married. 9 years and 2 kids later, we're still happy.

At a bar. He asked me to dance. We danced and talked and he was so charming( and full of lies and crap). He had a wife at home-but i didn't find out till we had been dating 6 months...nice. By that time they were seperated though and I was pregnant. Been down hill every since. He is a worthless peice of ****. Moral...don't look for love in a bar.
