Im in my forties, yet I have huge temper-tantrums, mainly when Im alone and on the party lines. For those of you who are new, the party lines are where you call and try to meet people. I often record a greeting and then wait for messages. When an hour has passed and Ive gotten little to no messages, I begin to scream obcenities at the phone. I often scream "NOOOO!!!!!!" and start literally crying my eyes out. I will shout "Dammit, come on! Why am I not getting any messages?!" And slam my hands down on the desk. My neighbors have complained repeatledly about my loud noises in the apartment.

My question is- Why am I only having these childlike tantrums on the party line? In real life Im fine- I dont have fits a lot. But alone in my bedroom on the phone- if no one hits me up, I begin screaming and bawling my eyes out. I even threatened to kill myself- and over a party line! Why am I doing this?

you should seek medical attention, especially if you are even thinking about suicide.

You are lonely, frustrated and have no control over your emotions. You think it's okay to act that way when nobody is looking. However, it's not okay because regardless of how you may think people can't hear and see you they obviously can if your neighbours are complaining. I'm not saying this to be mean but you do need to sseek professional help. If you youself find it difficult to control you screaming it's a problem. It's a problem because your anger is distrubing other people and they are probably thinking your crazy. Seek help.

that is a good question, and talking to a professional about this will help guide you in that answer. obviously you have issues reguarding self love and feeling alone, though you seem abit exstreme, we all are differant when we are home alone then when we are around others, so no not sick in the head compeletly, cause you see the problem, you just need someone to talk too, professionally, i think you'll be fine in the end. talk to someone......you'll get the help your looking for.

because you are lonely....duh. get a life. stop asking silly questions about that on here. if you only do that on a party line...which is pathetic, maybe it is just disappointment. everyone handles it differently. doesn't mean you are sick in the head....even though i question how you worded that phrase for a 40 year old old maid?
