I know this is completely off the question, but, have you tried AT&T or T-Mobile? My brother had Cricket and Pocket and they were terrible. The coverage is spotty. Everytime he comes to our parents house (they live near 1604 and Bulverde), his phone never works in the house, you have to go upstairs to get a faint signal. So he thought it was his phone and he took it back and they both (Cricket and Pocket) flat out said that when you buy a phone there isn't a guarantee that you'll like it. In other words "all sales final"

AT&T does offer some good plans for credit challanged and non-credit challanged. AT&T's Go Phone - Pick your plan service lets you get a set amount of minutes per month, text messaging, and internet. AT&T will work anywhere, I have it and I've never ran into any "dead" spots.

I also have to support Kevin's response. AT&T has by far provided the best service throughout the Metroplex and Texas. I also like being able to use my cell phone anywhere I am in the US without any problems. In the past week I have used my cell phone in Dallas, Denver, Las Vegas and San Antonio, and spoken with people all over the country, and rarely had coverage problems (except in the desert outside Las Vegas)

I agree with Kevin, I own a small ranch out in the country and I take several friends there to hunt the only one that gets any reception at all is AT&T. I also like the idea that if I have a family memberr that is awy from home of one that lives accross the country it doesn't cost anything o call them 24/7 365 if they also have AT&T, I would rather a few bucks more and have contact as to paying less and not having contact
