If the show takes place in Malibu or around that area, it's possible that it will mention the fires. However, there is that WGA Writer's Strike going on, and it could cause the show to get cancelled. Another influence would be if the show chooses to mention them, as shows can usually take place in a different world than the real world.

Like the other poster said, there is a writer's strike, so by the time new episodes are written, the fires will no longer be timely. If they haven't mentioned them by now, they probably won't at all.
