My gf just got on the pill. Does this mean we can have sex without condoms. What will happen if i go inside her on accident. What are the chances of her getting pregnant

How old are you? you should wait at least 7 to 10 days so the pill has a chance to work. didn't her doctor tell her that?

The pill provides highly effective (about 85-90%) protection from pregnancy when taken correctly. There will be instructions in the packet to tell your gf how long she must take her particular pill before unprotected sex is 'safe'. Generally, it is about 7 days after she started taking the pill - although there are some exceptions. You should also use a second method of birth control for seven days when she misses a pill or is ill (antibiotics, vomiting, or diarrhea are some of the reasons why a pill may not be effective).

Assuming your gf is taking the pill correctly, you have about a 10% chance of getting her pregnant if you ejaculate during sex (either deliberately or accidentally). Unless you are prepared to deal with the possibility of the three a's (abortion, adoption, or parenting until adulthood), you and your gf should be using a backup method on a regular basis. Also remember that the pill does not protect against STDs!

Also, any time you have sex, protected or not, you risk the chance of pregnancy. Pills are ONLY 99% effective when taken as prescribed.

You should also wait a few weeks before having sex with her without condoms.
